Mary Jo Sminkey has been doing web application development for over 15 years, using ColdFusion since its earliest days. She is particularly skilled in the area of ecommerce, having written and supported her own software, CFWebstore, one of the first stand-alone ecommerce platforms for ColdFusion. She now brings that expertise to CF Webtools, along with skills including jQuery, Mura CMS, Flex, OO/MVC, ORM/Hibernate, XHTML/CSS, MySQl, MS-SQL, Oracle, Railo and OpenBlueDragon.

In her free time, Mary Jo is well known as a talented dog trainer, judge, and competitor in a wide range of canine sports, such as agility, flyball, obedience, rally, herding, and musical freestyle. She is a talented baker and plays several music instruments, currently playing with a local handbell choir.
